Love is everything. Love is everything. Love is everything. Love is everything. Love is everything. Love is everything. Love is everything. Love is everything. Love is everything. Love is everything. Love is everything. Love is everything. Love is everything. Love is everything. Love is everything. Love is everything. Love is everything. Love is everything.

I’m Karen, The Face Behind Love Divine Club.

YOGA TEACHER, RETREAT HOST, ENERGY HEALER...OCCASIONAL STYLIST

I’ve been a yoga teacher for over a decade now, teaching in beautiful community spaces, on retreats all over the world, for corporate events, private sessions and more. My personal approach to yoga is to lead with love and acceptance – where you are right now is exactly where you need to be.

I create spaces for you to feel completely safe and free, embrace imperfection, and let
loose with flowy sequences and great playlists. You don’t need to be bendy or balanced or unwaveringly dedicated to a daily yoga practice.

In fact, I’ll let you in on a secret: I’m not naturally flexible. I’ve never been a dancer or a gymnast. Growing up I wasn’t sporty at all and spent most of my life not being able to touch my toes.

Despite this, I felt pulled toward the mystical side of life. I’ve always believed that there’s more to things than meets the eye.

My first yoga class was an interesting one. Aged 18, a friend and I found ourselves at a Buddhist Centre trying out this thing called ‘yoga’ (Iyengar yoga, to be exact).

I was completely lost and it definitely wasn’t love at first sight.

Despite first impressions, over the years something kept drawing me back. After a
turbulent time in my twenties, I found myself back on the mat, trying to make sense of my life and the world as I knew it. Forward folding in a local church hall it finally clicked for me. I felt peace and connection for the first time in a while.

Yoga took root in my life and my daily routine. I’d even find myself doing tree pose while waiting at the office photocopier. Eventually, after a trip to India in 2013 staying at a yoga and surf shala, I embarked upon my first 200hr yoga teacher training in London.

What followed was years of further learning and dedication – I’ve been a student of the most renowned and incredible second-generation yogis in the world, from which I have learned so much and will be eternally grateful.

Over time, yoga and spirituality became a huge focus. I took the leap and left my corporate job to pursue teaching as a full-time vocation. I see it as a calling, a purpose, something that I was meant to do. Don’t get me wrong though - I might be into ‘woo woo’ but I also firmly live in the real world and understand all too well the pressures, wants and frustrations of everyday life.

For the past ten years I’ve taught and hosted on retreats all over the world, travelling to Greece, Italy, Africa, Spain, Sweden, Portugal, Egypt, Croatia – I’m sure there must be more! I love to travel and expand my horizons, and I absolutely loved to go on retreats myself, so being able to host is a dream come true.

In 2024 I trained with Cat Kabira in Bali to become a certified Energy Healer – which I something that I absolutely love to offer on 1:1 and group capacities. It never ceases to amaze me.

The origins of Love Divine Club

What’s In A Name?

Love Divine Club. How did it come about and what does it actually mean?

I’ll tell you. There’s a bit of a backstory.

When I was 18, I had a necklace that I never took off. It was silver, chunky and had a
square pendant with Love Divine written on it in lovely, looped letters. I had some major life experiences wearing this necklace: working in the USA, graduating from university, teaching English in Thailand, sky diving in Australia and moving to London. We were inseparable.

Until one day, when I was about 30, I lost it.

I was devastated.

When I turned 40, my husband asked what I would like that was special enough to celebrate this milestone birthday – it was a no brainer, the jewellers still (22 years
later) stocked the Love Divine necklace and he bought it for me, but this time in gold (because, bougie).

I just love it; it’s such a special necklace with a powerful and meaningful message.

When meditating on my purpose as a yoga teacher, I kept coming back to this idea of love: radiating it, accepting it, living it. And then I realised, the name and mission I wanted to put out into the world had been under my nose the entire time – quite literally.

I started to see the message Love Divine everywhere and it occurred to me, love really is everything. In every capacity. The love we have for ourselves, each other, our lives, experiences our connection to source.

The Love Divine Club is a collection of experiences and opportunities to honour and celebrate that love – to come home to ourselves. Perfectly imperfect. Whether it’s joining me for yoga classes, on retreat, energy realignment sessions or even just following along on the journey that is life. You are exactly where you need to be, right at this moment.

Stylishly Spiritual

If you’re ever unsure where I am, I guarantee you’ll find me perusing jewellery in Ibizan boutiques or IN GREECE with my head buried in handmade kimonos.

There's nothing I love more than discovering pieces and places that feel personal, timeless and a bit different. I’m like a magpie with a mission. I’ll find the dress of your dreams tucked away in a hidden Cretian boutique or find the chicest Mediterranean spot you’ve never heard of.

For me, it’s never about flashy displays of luxury: it’s about the story behind things, the charm, that little bit of magic that makes it special.
This same approach flows into everything I do. Whether I’m hunting for new style pieces, seeking out retreat venues or picking out a gift,
I bring that same discerning eye.

“She’s
The Best!”

“Karen was the second yoga teacher I ever had and is the reason I keep practicing. Her teaching is natural, insightful and educational.

I love that I come away from her classes knowing more about yoga, be that its history, the poses or the benefits. There is always a relevant and beautiful reading at the end, an Om and all this wrapped up in a wonderfully cheeky Scottish package. She’s the best!”

Amy Jamieson

“life changing”

"Happening across Karen’s yoga classes has been life changing for me, a newbie to yoga, an awkward pose-r, Karen’s classes are just what I needed.

Karen’s classes are very special - warm, welcoming and inclusive. Everyone needs a Karen in their life - not only an excellent yoga teacher, but a well balanced and fair person, with great humour, and knowledge making for great chats at the end of the class”

Grace O’Dowd

“Lucky
indeed”

“When Karen walks into your life, you have found a good one! I've been practising for 30 years with lots of different teachers but Karen is my go to!

Her guidance will take your body through to peak poses you never thought you could do with a lot of fun and humour along the way! She is the most refreshing yoga teacher in every way and a burst of sunshine in every room!"
